Kurze Geschichte:
Die Stadtbibliothek ist eine Einrichtung der Stadtverwaltung Kyritz. Sie wurde 1948 als Volksbücherei gegründet. Von 1955 bis 1993 hatte die Bibliothek die Funktion einer Stadt- und Kreisbibliothek, nach der Kreisgebietsreform arbeitet sie wieder als Stadtbibliothek.
